Care & Longevity

Archival materials are chosen to preserve the photograph for generations. Under optimal framing, display and storage conditions, current laboratory guidance for archival Giclée prints suggests a potential lifespan of approximately 100 to 200 years.

Framing: Use UV-protective glass or acrylic with acid-free backing and mats. Avoid direct contact between the surface of the print and the glazing.

Display: Keep the print away from direct or harsh sunlight, moisture and areas of high humidity.

Handling: Hold the print by its edges wherever possible, using clean, dry hands.

Storage: Keep unmounted prints flat in an archival-quality box or portfolio, ideally in a dry environment at a moderate room temperature.

Even archival pigment prints may gradually fade when continuously exposed to strong sunlight.

Your print is packaged according to its size and fulfilment location. Protective packaging may include recycled cardboard boxes, cardboard envelopes or strong cardboard tubes. Plastic-free packaging is used where available.

The Story

I think we live through years almost without testimony. They pass, we forget, and then one moment happens where, somehow, you want to freeze time. You want it to stay exactly as it is, and somehow make it last forever. For a second, you almost feel like holding your breath. If only we could stop time. I feel these moments so intensely.

It reminds me of Moments. A very long diary of very short moments that somehow made me feel warm. I started collecting them years ago. I only published them recently.

When these moments happen, I take pictures with my mind. It almost feels like clicking a camera somewhere in my brain. If only I could make this moment stay. Forever, for a while. Even through words, or a camera, or a feeling, or tears.

This time, I was privileged. There was an actual camera.

So maybe this photograph is also a tribute to all the other moments I wanted to keep, when I did not have one.

Just my mind.
