Coming from Egypt, our everyday animal problem is stray dogs.

So when I kept hearing fireworks in Sri Lanka, I thought: they must have weddings every day.

No. They were scaring monkeys away.

In Sigiriya, they told me not to walk alone. I thought: thieves?

No. Wild elephants.

Then, at a tea farm in Ella, I saw this face hanging between the trees and, for a second, I did not understand what I was looking at. Was there a party here?

No. Apparently, monkeys are afraid of gorillas too.

Things make a lot more sense once you understand the context.
