They were three women and one man, sitting by the street next to their shop. Wood was everywhere, in every shape, inspired by animals and life.

Each one of them held a turtle. Same movement, again and again. Nothing dramatic. Nothing that asked for attention.

The wooden turtle was surrounded by hands, tools, legs, dust and all the small disorder of making. Yet the object itself seemed remarkably certain about what it was becoming.

I liked that contradiction. The mess around it, the precision within it. The imperfections, the symmetry, the repetition. They made it look so ordinary.

And somehow, it felt like a testimony to art.

Maybe things do not always need to be perfect. Sometimes they just fall into place.

Just like that.
